Abstract

Self-Powered Neutron Detectors (SPNDs) have long been widely used as reactor in-core neutron detectors. However, delayed type SPNDs, a typical type SPND with delayed current component, can not be directly used for real-time neutron flux monitoring. To solve this problem, several researchers have established compensation methods to reconstruct neutron flux. For the various SPNDs with delayed currents, the existing compensation methods are usually case-dependent. Therefore, a general compensation method for delayed type SPNDs with high portability is proposed in this paper. Based on linear equations in the s domain, this method is applicable for all the delayed SPNDs, giving the general compensation solution with definite iterations. Moreover, this compensation method is tested by two typical delayed SPNDs, indicating its high portability and applicability.
