Abstract
A fully general control system capable of driving almost any kind of imaging array (including conventional CCDs of two, three and four phases, charge sweep devices, charge injection devices, and FET-switched arrays) has been developed. This paper describes the design and operation of both the system electronics and software. The control system is based around an IBM compatible computer, yet offers an unusual degree of versatility.
