Abstract

Due to the tremendous growing demand for data traffic in cellular networks, and given how congested the RF environment has become, Long Term Evolution (LTE) has been proposed to be implemented in the unlicensed 5 GHz band. The 5 GHz band is occupied by several radar systems. So there is a definite need to develop a novel spectrum sharing techniques that takes into account maintaining the great performance of LTE technology without affecting the detection capability of the radar system. In this research, we plan to explore applying a game-theoretic approach to create a novel spectrum sharing algorithm between LTE and radar systems.
