Abstract

Management of a two species ecosystem in which each species is gathered by a different harvester is considered here. Analysis is directed toward the general problem of determining the maximum level of harvesting which will allow the maximization of yields. For constant harvesting levels, it is shown that there is a close connection between system stability and game theoretic optimization. The general results are applied to two differennt predator-prey models.
