A Fuzzy Multi-Criteria Group Decision Making Model for Information Source Selection

Abstract

As the Information Source (IS) selection involves many aspects with different requirements under indeterminate conditions, it is such a complicated process with respect to appropriate solutions. This paper proposes a novel Multi-Criteria Group Decision Making (MCGDM) model with trapezoidal fuzzy numbers, an integrated weight assignments method and chi-square test figuring out the Relative Closeness (RC) to the ideal solutions in a refined Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to an Ideal Solution (TOPSIS). The numerical example practically presents good feasibilities and flexibilities.
