Summary
Decision making that can be defined as a procedure to find the best alternative among a set of feasible alternatives is a challenging problem because of the increased number of alternatives and conflicting criteria [1÷5]. According to Li and Love [7], the construction industry is characterized by continual changes, varying technology, and the involvement of numerous operations requiring enormous efforts to manage acceptable outcomes. In this context the illstructured and multi-criteria nature of construction problems supplies a magnificent foundation for MCDM methods to be used widely in the sector [8, 9]. The purpose in this study is to propose a decision support model which is helpful in ranking air conditioning systems.
