Abstract

A diagnostic model of laryngeal dysfunction based on the general fuzzy sets theory is presented. For evaluation of the larynx status several acoustical parameters extracted from the continuous speech signal and describing pitch period variations are used. The elaborated approach was verified on a large number of healthy voices and pathological ones with different kinds of laryngeal dysfunctions.
