Abstract

A boundary integral equation is formulated for axisymmetric torsion problems of a bonded dissimilar elastic solid by applying the Yuuki's method for dissimilar materials. For this purpose, a fundamental solution is shown for torsion problems of a bonded dissimilar elastic solid. The fundamental solution is defined as a solution to the problem of two bonded elastic half spaces subjected to a torsional body force acting on a circle. A general formula to obtain a solution for torsional body force problems of two bonded dissimilar elastic half spaces is also presented in this paper.
