Abstract
In this paper, we carry out a full mathematical analysis of the physically thin phase-changing screen. The phase can be a function of both frequency and position. A number of analytical limits are presented, and numerical methods are shown for calculating the modulation index for any value of phi/sub 0//sup 2/.
