Abstract

We compute parity-conserving and parity-violating amplitudes for weak nonleptonic and radiative decays of spin one-half hyperons. We employ the pole model and consider the ground-state baryon octet, both 1/2+ and 1/2− excited baryons, and mesons. Our results are that, by usingS-wave amplitudes as an input, one can fit in terms of one parameter both theP-wave amplitudes of nonleptonic decays and the radiative asymmetry and branching ratios.
