Abstract

In the operation of microgrid, the ability of the traditional inverter control method to maintain frequency stability is limited, especially for the islanding microgrid which lacks the support of the main grid. An improved frequency control method based on the virtual synchronous generator (VSG) is proposed in this paper. Then, the control method is applied to the electric vehicles (EVs) connected to the microgrid to participate in the frequency regulation of the microgrid Firstly, the virtual governor is improved according to robust model prediction control (RMPC) technology to realize automatic generation control. Finally, the effectiveness of the improved control scheme based on virtual synchronous generator is verified through simulation.
