Abstract
ABSTRACT One of the primary justifications for the use of personal computers is increased productivity, to be obtained through the achievement of specific goals. The process of selecting and implementing PC software applications has a direct impact on achieving productivity gains, therefore goals must be kept clearly in mind throughout any evaluation. In order to achieve success, the goals set for productivity must be straightforward, concise and reasonable, or the process will attain only limited success, or could fail altogether. This paper outlines how a selection/implementation committee can bring order to this chaotic process.
