Abstract

This paper describes the structure for an Integrated Quality System. The objective of the system that is being developed is to implement in a software tool an integrated methodology, supporting all Quality Engineering activities. The key is to systematically accumulate process and product knowledge. The system support the efficient use of this knowledge to control and improve Quality and reduce Cycle Time and Production Cost. A Total Quality approach is used to achieve integration of Quality Engineering with Design, Production and Manufacturing. The system must be able to operate in a CIM structure or to lead towards CIM with sound bases.
