Abstract

AbstractA fourth parameter to be used in conjunction with Pitzer's acentric factor is proposed to correlate the thermophysical properties of anormal fluids. It is based on the saturated liquid density at a reduced temperature of 0.7. A correlation for saturated liquid densities of anormal fluids is presented to cover a reduced temperature range from 0.42 to 1.0. For four hundred and fifty‐six data points, covering twenty‐one compounds, calculated average and average absolute deviation in predicted saturated liquid densities are −0.05 and 1.11%, respectively.
