Abstract

Abstract The two ends of a femur similar in size to that of Archaespheniscus lowei Marples, but possibly representing an unnamed small ,pecies of Palaeeudyptes, from the Whaingaroan Stage of Motutara Point, Kawhia Harbour, are the first Tertiary penguin fossils recorded from the North Island of New Zealand.
