Abstract

This paper reflects some of the experiences of fathers who have learning disabilities. Analysis of a small focus group identified six themes reflecting these experiences: a father’s role, learning problems, getting angry, treatment by professionals, discrimination and stigma, and feeling excluded and isolated. Implications are discussed.
