Abstract

The article contains a linguistic ideological analysis of the novel by Vodolazkin «Laurus». The purpose of the article is to consider ideological axiologyin relation to such object as the Russian people and their national character. The material of the study is the text of E.Vodolazkin's novel «Laurus», reviews that are devoted to this novel and scientific research, including on the problems of Russian honliess reflected in this novel. As a result of research author of the article comes to conclusion that the novel gives one-sided negative evaluation of the morals of Russian people. In the novel there is an attempt to devalue such a unique phenomenon of Russian religiosity and spirituality as a holiness in Christ. There is a contradiction between the position of the Orthodox man that declared by E.Vodolazkin and the text of his novel. In particular the holy people use obscene language in the novel. Meanwhile it is reported about abnormal behavior, including speech of the Russian holy people in various sources, but there is no mention of their using of abusive language, which was considered as a terrible sin. In the novel Russian people are characterized by cruelty, occasionally this cruelty is unmotivated. At the same time, in the novel there are no kind words about the Russian people and the historical background is excludes. The author goes beyond the boundaries of ethically permissible in stylistics. There is something in common with the postmodern methods of irony and shock aesthetics. It is noted that such features of the novel in the era of information psychological wars contribute to strengthening the russophobic attitude of foreign readers.
