Abstract

A flexible hybird solver based on surface integral equation(SIE) domain decomposition (DD) schemes is presented for solving electromagnetic(EM) scattering from electrically large PEC objects. Two different DD schemes are integrated in a unified framework according to different subsurfaces: the DD scheme using the explicit boundary condition and the DD scheme using the buffer region. Also, the multilevel fast multipole algorithm (MLFMA) with a common tree structure for all subsurfaces is employed to speed up the computation of matrix-vector products and reduce the storage costs. Numerical example is provided to demonstrate the validity of the proposed method.
