Abstract

We discuss a new optical configuration for a hard X-ray imaging beamline that allows one to obtain a secondary source of variable size by using two asymmetrically cut bent silicon crystals in Laue geometry. A feature of this set-up is that radiation from the secondary source propagates parallel to the direction of the incident radiation. Preliminary aspects of the design for the imaging beamline are discussed.
