Abstract

Reduced graphene oxide film (RGF) used as electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding (SE) electrical heater has been a research hotspot in recent years. The reported traditional RGF is usually obtained by a two-step strategy consisted of first fabrication of graphene oxide (GO) film and then reducing. In this work, a one-step facile strategy is proposed by using zinc foil as reducing agent at room temperature. A series of prepared RGFs with self-assembly layered structure exhibit high electrical conductivity, electromagnetic shielding performance, stable and sensitive electrical heating performance, which are investigated according to different RGF thickness controlled by the reaction time. With increasing of the reduction time, the EMI SE of the film increase from 12.75 dB (RGF-1) to 33.50 dB (RGF-40). The prepared RGFs also exhibit excellent electrical heating performance. When a voltage of 6 V is applied, the surface temperature of RGF-40 increases from room temperature to above 120 °C within 5 s, and it can maintain long-term stability (10000 s). RGF has application value as a high EMI SE electrical heating device.
