Abstract

A flat dual-polarized continuous transverse stub (CTS) antenna array fed by the parabolic reflectors of substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) is proposed in this paper. Every parabolic reflector is excited by a rectangular waveguide transverse slot located on the focal point of the parabola. Two SIW-CTS arrays are arranged orthogonally above the parallel plate waveguide (PPW) for dual polarized radiation. A 6-element standing-wave array is simulated to validate the design. The simulation results show that the proposed antenna array covers a −10 dB reflection coefficient bandwidth from 12.39 to 12.6 GHz and the isolation between the two feed ports is higher than 30 dB. At the center frequency of 12.5 GHz, the maximum gain is 19.6 dBi with the cross polarization level under −25 dB. The dual-polarized antenna array could be applied for the satellite communication in Ku band.
