Abstract

In July, 1962, while in residence at the Archbold Biological Station, Lake Placid, I observed several females of a Trypoxylon nesting under a recently erected concrete bridge spanning the Peace River at Arcadia, utilizing old nests of other wasps. The species was identified subsequently by Dr. Karl V. Krombein, United States National Museum, as Trypoxylon (Trypargilum) texense Saussure; Dr. Krombein, who read the manuscript critically, informed me that this record was the first for this species from Florida.
