Abstract
The Ka-band millimeter wave is generally discussed, and there have been many inventions and applications of it. We propose a vacuum electronic device based on field emission mechanism for the generation of Ka-band millimeter waves. The verification of the generation of millimeter waves has been done using a 2D finite-difference time-domain particle-in-cell code MAGIC (developed by MRC Co., VA, US). A resonance at about 35 GHz is found after doing fast Fourier transformation by observing the output power in time domain.
