Abstract
Abstract A recent high angle well in the Mediterranean Sea offered a unique opportunity to compare survey tools. Seven different survey tools from six different companies were used over the same hole section, enabling their performance to be compared under the same conditions. Only the MWD tool gave consistently accurate survey data throughout the entire well.
