Abstract

Fiducial grids of evaporated gold have been made by an electron resist technique with lines as little as 300 nm wide. The experimental procedure for making the grids is described and some applications of the technique in the determination of electron ray paths and in observations of the deformation mechanisms of superplastic materials are discussed.
