Abstract

Intrusion localization plays a significant role in a perimeter system. A precise intrusion localisation method using fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensors is proposed in this paper. Based on the fixed-simply supported beam theory, FBG strain data are used to establish the intrusion deflection distribution. The intrusion localisation and force identification are realized by deflection curve analysis. In order to optimize the identifying result, an improved particle swarm optimization algorithm is introduced. The experiments and simulation results show that the proposed algorithm performs better than the traditional algorithms in detection precision and stability for intrusion signal identifying.
