Abstract

We investigate a multiperiod multicommodity transshipment problem which arises in the context of fertilizer distribution in the Republic of Indonesia. Taking the special problem structure into account a model is presented which considers the dynamic aspect of the problem only implicitly and all commodities can be handled by successive solution where at most two commodities have to be considered for each subproblem. Hence, the size of the model makes an implementation on a microcomputer possible.
