Abstract

A feed-through microwave power measuring system has been established at NPL at 10 0 GHz using a thin-film standard bolometer mount of effective efficiency 96.50%±0.37%. The value of Kc’, the calibration factor of the feed through system, obtained is 10.695%. The limits of total uncertainty in the measurement of Ke, are +0.70% and–0.87%. The technique employed in the measurement of Ke and the error-flow chart are also given. This feed-through power measuring system is very useful for determining the effective efficiency/calibration factor of unknown bolometer mounts, and for the calibration of microwave power meters at 10.0 GHz upto 10 W.
