Abstract
Introduction: With the recent advancement of computer and camera technology, surgical procedures can be video recorded in the surgeon's Point-Of-View (POV) relatively easily. The use of video clips recorded by trainees operating as part of a Procedure Based Assessment (PBA) has not been formally evaluated. The aim of this presentation is to summarise pilot work undertaken over a 2-year period and to reflect on how the difficulties and merits of incorporate the POV video recording into OMFS speciality training.
