Abstract

In this paper, a fast algorithm that can be used to solve the time-domain integral equation of transient wave fields is presented. The technique discretizes the time-domain electric-field integral equation (TDEFIE) by means of the marching-on-in-time (MOT) method. The fast Fourier transformation (FFT) is efficiently employed to accelerate the recursive computation of the unknown current coefficients, and to reduce the memory storage requirement in the MOT method. Several results are presented to demonstrate the efficiency, capability, and accuracy of this technique. © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 25: 172–175, 2000.
