Abstract

An 128 channels CAMAC MCA with 10 MHz conversion speed has been developed for measuring spatial distribution and time dependency of fusion X-ray spectra. This CAMAC module contains a peak sensing ADC with a linearizer using four 6 bits flash type ADC IC's (SDA 5010), a double buffered histogramming memory with multiplexers using eight 1k bits ECL RAM's (MB 7072E) and a 10 msec setting programmable period timer. Design concept, circuit configuration and actual performances of the MCA are discussed.
