Abstract

This paper presents a fast Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS) signal acquisition method based on the approximate kernel FFT/IFFT in order to realize both fast acquisition and low computing load when receiving signal have a large Doppler frequency. Through substituting an approximate kernel function for the FFT/IFFT kernel function in the classic FFT/IFFT acquisition method to simplify multiplication operations into addition, this method can provide fast acquisition on the low computation basis while maintaining high acquisition performance. The simulation results verify that the method is effective.
