Abstract

Paul Hyman recalls his sojourn in Sefrou, Morocco in 1969, his encounters with anthropologists conducting fieldwork in the region, and his experience re-viewing his own photographs of Sefrou reframed in the context of the 2007 exhibition at UCLA's Fowler Museum, ‘Sefrou, Morocco Observed: The Photographs of Paul Hyman.’
