Abstract

This report was written as part of the European Entrepreneurship Educators Programme (3EP). It outlines the detailed preparation and training required for a 12 months travel around the world for a family of 6 ranging in age from 16 to 53. The reader is taken through the conceptual foundation for the project and how the experience of traveling can be used as a wider educational platform with focus on entrepreneurship and internationalization. The preparations include reflections on learning- and intercultural concepts and how to prepare for and motivate group collaboration and manage team dynamics and interpersonal frictions. How to motivate for individual- and team learning are outlined and practical experiences regarding equipment, development of the itinerary and visas before departure are described. The planned travel commenced in June 2011 and was successfully completed in August 2012.
