Abstract
A facile method for the synthesis of 3-allyl-4-hydrazinocyclopentenes from bicyclic hydrazines by the Pd/Lewis acid catalyzed reaction of allyltributyltin and allyltrimethylsilane is described. The role of ionic liquid [bmim]PF 6 as a solvent as well as a promoter is also demonstrated by carrying out the reactions in ionic liquid without Lewis acid.
