Abstract
Abstract The polysiloxane having tributyltin groups, which showed a blocking effect from self-condensation to give silica gel, was prepared from the reaction of water glass and bis(tributyltin) oxide in the presence of methansulfonic acid. The molar ratios of Si/Sn in the obtained polysiloxanes were estimated by gravimetric analysis to be in the range of 2 to 3.
