Abstract
Uniform and stable collagen protected spherical gold nanoparticles were synthesized using sodium salt of malanodialdehyde as a reducing agent. Further it was observed that the morphology of the particles was found out to be spherical. Formation of spherical gold nanoparticles was well characterized using UV–Visible spectroscopy and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) analysis. The TEM measurements show evidence of particle shapes such as spheres of nearly. The variation in particle shape is probably due to the effect of the reduced gold to collagen ratio as the reaction proceeds.
