Abstract

An efficient protocol for the synthesis of pharmacologically significant dihydropyrimidines and polyfunctionalized pyrans is described by performing a one-pot multicomponent reaction (MCR). A chemistry-driven drug discovery approach is implemented by keeping an essential skeleton of calcium channel modulators in all the synthesized derivatives.
