Abstract

A facile electrochemical sensor for tryptophan detection was designed and constructed by using Cs/Ce-MOF modified glass carbon electrode. The synthesis strategy of Cs/Ce-MOF composite not only greatly saved both energy and time costs, but also prevented the aggregation of Ce-MOF. The electrochemical sensor possessed excellent performance with wide linear range (0.25–331 μM) and a low limit of detection (0.14 μM), which is due to the good film-forming ability, permeability and rich accessible active sites. Additionally, the as-prepared electrochemical sensor has good selectivity, reproducibility, repeatability, stability and potential application in real samples.
