Abstract
The article analyses the evolution of the vocational training system from the moment it began to benefit from European funds to support its operation. The approach developed seeks to explore the interaction between the funding channeled by European funds and the national political impetus in the evolution of the vocational training system. The analysis made it possible to establish four major phases in the development of the system, while identifying the main attributes that distinguished them and locating the main factors of change that could be observed over time.
