Abstract

We consider a problem of a dynamic production–distribution situation for a single product. We examine the situation where a vendor produces a product in a batch production environment and supplies it to multiple buyers under deterministic conditions. Stationarity of buyers demands does not imply stationarity of the demand at the vendor which follows a periodic sequence. We consider buyers and the vendor demands as periodic sequences. In this case some turnpike policies relative to the class of periodic dynamic parameter problems are recommended. Some remarks on the existence of planning and forecast horizons are also given.
