Abstract

To scientifically assess the fire risk of the Ultra-High Voltage (UHV) converter station and improve the level of safety and reliability for the UHV converter transformer, the dynamic risk assessment of the UHV converter transformer was carried out, which formed an important means to promote its development. This paper put forward a dynamic fire risk assessment framework for UHV converter transformer, which was established based on the theory and method of system safety engineering, according to the characteristics of the UHV converter transformer. Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) was applied to risk assessment indicators and weight calculation. A new method of expert weight allocation and dynamic indicator system was proposed. On this basis, fire risk of the UHV converter transformer was systematically assessed. Taking the UHV converter transformer in UHV converter transformer as an example for the first time, the fire risk was analyzed. The potential hazards, main failure and accident consequence of UHV converter transformer in converter transformer were obtained. UHV converter transformer fire risk assessment dynamic indicator system was established.
