Abstract

The effect of a double-layer slit-type distributor with dynamically adjustable opening porosity on the fluidized drying of Geldart D particles was investigated. The Ergun equation parameters were corrected for the fluidization equipment and material to accurately predict the pressure drop when the slit distribution plate starts fluidizing the green beans. In this study, the bed pressure drop and distributor opening porosity during fluidization were regression fitted to the dry basis moisture content of the material, and a method to determine the drying stage based on the regression fitting equation was proposed. The dynamic adjustment system of distributor opening porosity was established for the research results, and the application test found that the system can effectively improve the drying efficiency of material fluidization and reduce the abnormal fluidization phenomenon.
