Abstract
This paper presents a dual-polarized millimeter wave antenna with enhanced port isolation based on LTCC technology for 5G applications. In order to achieve higher isolation, metal vias are added to the original antenna structure. The two polarizations are excited by two vertical feeding lines below. This antenna is designed and manufactured based on low-temperature co-fire ceramic (LTCC) technology for ease of integration. The simulated results show that the antenna have −10 dB impedance bandwidth of 25.8-27 GHz, and port isolation is higher than 17 dB. When compared with the dual-polarized antenna without metal vias, the proposed antenna shows the higher isolation in the frequency band. The proposed antenna is suitable for integration and 5G applications.
