Abstract

AbstractA novel dual‐mode band‐pass filter with a cross‐shaped resonator and three ring resonators has been designed and implemented. The proposed structure is different from the conventional dual‐mode band‐pass filter. The designed dual‐mode band‐pass filter has a very sharp attenuation rate by two transmission zeros, and high spurious suppression by the band‐stop effect of the three ring resonators. The experiments show good agreement with the simulations. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
