Abstract

High Gain Dual Polarized Antenna using Partially Reflective Surface (PRS) is presented. This design consists of dual-ports fed by two coaxial feed connectors. A square patch antenna has a dimension of 50 mm × 50 mm and dual-polarized PRS is 10 mm × 10 mm unit-cell elements. The simulated result shows that the antenna has a resonant frequency at 3.51 GHz, by the optimized distance between PRS and square patch antenna is 14 mm. The 2D Radiation pattern between cut plane at phi-angle 45 and -45 degree are dual-polarization PRS antenna provides a similar gain of 3.14 dBi at 0 degree on a cut plane at phi-angle 45 degrees and -45 degree with HPBW of 91.8 degree and 74.2 degree, respectively.
