Abstract

A dual band notch UWB antenna based on Spiral corner feed Electromagnetic Band Gap (SCF-EBG) Structure is proposed. Two SCF-EBG structures are positioned alongside the feed line of the UWB antenna. The SCF-EBG structures produce two notch band at 3.5 GHz and 5.8 GHz which is in WiMAX band, the low frequency of fifth generation mobile communication (5G) frequency band in China and the wireless local area network interference band. The proposed antenna is suitable for UWB communication systems with dual band notch and a small size notch EBG structure.
