Abstract

Plant remains, mainly occurring as leaf compressions, from Kimmeridgian strata exposed along the coast of northeastern Scotland are identified and described briefly. They include 19 species, representing 14 genera. One new species, attributed to the conifers, is formally described: Taxodiophyllum scoticum gen. et sp. nov. A count of the material is made and the ecology of the flora is discussed.
