Abstract

A novel method is described of simultaneously locking the frequencies of two independent radio-frequency oscillators to the same magnetic field. Spectra corresponding to two different nuclei (e.g. 19F and 1H) may be recorded on the same spectrometer scan, and heteronuclear double-irradiation experiments performed with great ease. The stability of the doubly locked system is very high, and INDOR spectra may be recorded with a computer of average transients.
