Abstract

In patients with narrow vaginal vaults necessitating tandem and mini-ovoid (TMO) placement, insertion of a vaginal cylinder with tandem is a technically simpler procedure, but there may be dosimetric disadvantages as compared to the TMO. Our purpose was to quantify these dosimetric differences utilizing 3-D HDR brachytherapy techniques and dose evaluation.
